I’ve been a State Farm agent since opening my office in early 2017, and my team has over 25 combined years of insurance experience. I’m proud to serve the residents of Lakeland and the surrounding areas of Central Florida as a small business owner, and I’m dedicated to the success and growth of our beautiful community. My agency handles homeowners insurance, renters insurance, auto insurance, life insurance and more—including boat coverage and financial services.

From the day I graduated college, I worked toward opening a State Farm agency—finally achieving the dream a few years ago. I’m a believer in the company and its mission, and I take great pride in helping people plan for the future and protect the things that matter most to them. There’s something special about representing a company like State Farm—the peace-of-mind people have when they know they’re covered by a quality partner is priceless. It’s great to be a part of it, and to feel like I’m making a difference for my fellow residents and business owners in Central Florida. I’m known as Mike Dooz—because it’s easier for most people to say that than it is to pronounce my last name. I’m originally from Michigan, and I earned three business degrees from Grand Valley State University. After college, I worked for a few years in business and marketing before finally getting the call in 2016 that I could start training to become a State Farm agent. That’s when I chose Lakeland for my agency location, and I couldn’t be happier with that decision. On a personal note, I’m married to a talented marine biologist who does research in the area, and I love playing and watching sports of all kinds. My wife and I also love traveling and spending lots of time outdoors—especially camping, hiking and diving.
